HAJ is an artist and filmmaker based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His background spans sculpture, 3D modeling, and animation, with a focus on bringing imagined characters, stories, and worlds to life.
He won the Stan Winston Robot Design Contest with RoboBeast, a lion robot, and has contributed creature, character, and 3D work to projects for Levi’s, Zoox, Marvel/Disney, and TBWA\Chiat\Day.
Alongside his own films, he takes on freelance 3D and animation projects and filmmaking collaborations.

Under a total eclipse, a dying clay weaver finishes his final rug, and the creatures woven into it wake to dance his life out of him.

Every frame began in 3D, sculpted, animated, and lit by hand. Some shots are entirely that. Others were finished with generative tools, because a film this size has no other way to exist in one lifetime and one pair of hands.
